Phase I
90 Day Pause
Chair Vega Pederson, working in partnership with Commissioner Jones-Dixon, directed a 90-day pause on the County’s construction plans for a new homelessness services facility in the former Cook Plaza building.
Commissioner Jones-Dixon hosted a series of three sessions to share the context and background for the Cook Plaza project and hear feedback about locational needs and service impacts of shelters in East County.
On September 16, the Board of County Commissioners held an informational Board Briefing on the findings following this engagement. Access the Board Agenda for materials and a recording of the presentation and discussion.
